WeLCOME TO THE ACPR IDEA!!!

ACPR is an idea for Portuguese speaking Air Canada employees to form a social group with emphasis on Portuguese language. It is not necessary to speak Portuguese to participate, but a desire to share the Portuguese speaking culture of our airline employees. Its a networking portal, an opportunity to share experiences and common interests.

Opportunities for our Portuguese speaking networking employees could be:

*  Easy access to colleagues with accommodations in a Portuguese speaking country or community.

* Opportunity to practise Portuguese language skills and culture

* Organise cultural events such as:

     - Dinners, Dances, Escola de Samba "Unidos da Air Canada", Rancho Folclorico, Fado, Capoeira lessons, Soccer Teams, and other opportunities.

 *  Get a bi-annual magazine (yet to be named) which would be a venue for you to share your favourite topics, from recipes to poetry, write an article, share your experiences. Get experience! Want to be a reporter and write articles? A travel writer? Want to share your amazing photos and get them published? Need an audience? Want to enhance your profile? Community involvement? Consider volunteering for these positions at ACPR!

*  Volunteer with not-for-profit and charitable organisations, such as participating as a team on Terry Fox Run and Head Shave events, support and participate on community events, not just in Canada, but in Brazil, Portugal and other Portuguese Speaking countries and communities

*  Organise tours of Portuguese Speaking Communities in the World! Lets go to Macau, Goa, Malaca, Angola, Mozambique, Cabo Verde! Lets further explore Portugal and Brazil!

*  Lets make our own versions of TV shows such as "Pilot Guides" or even "Wild On!" Its up to you and what you want to share!

* Connect with other Portuguese Speaking Groups and create opportunities!

So, amigos, let me know if you are interested and if you have any other ideas in which we could make this happen!
